My name is Samantha and I am the creator and editor of Spirituality of the Ordinary. I am a Catholic wife and mother of two tiny children. I am a voracious consumer of books, blogs, and coffee. I love theology, parenting, bioethics, and a good argument.
Once upon a time, I was a high school teacher and graduate student. Now, I spend my days finger painting, doing dishes, and loving my little ones. Sometimes I teach online classes. Occasionally, I sit down. And always, I try to see God in the midst of our chaos. I love sharing those glimpses of grace in the little, hidden life of our very ordinary family.
“The most extraordinary thing in the world is an ordinary man and an ordinary woman and their ordinary children.” – G.K. Chesterton
I’m so glad you’re here! This is a place for conversations of the heart. I imagine us sitting a chatting over a cup of coffee or standing in the kitchen, one of us washing dishes while the other dries. Sharing moments of this life. Sharing our souls.
Life is hard and faith is challenging. We can’t do this alone. We weren’t meant to. These are our stories. I hope to hear from you, too.
